Hi,

Our customer requires an universal AC/DC converter with the following specifications.

110/220VAC 50/60KHz to +12VDC

100/200 mA

I saw the UCC28880 Low-Side Buck-Boost Converter Application Topology that requires few components and small PCB and SMD components. Any suggestion?

    Hi Juan,

    The UCC28880 is design intended for non-isolated buck, buck boost, circuits from the AC supply. The maximum load current is 100mA.

    The PMP8550 is a 12V High Side reference design using the UCC28880.

    For Isolated  designs the UCC28910 is an integrated high voltage switcher with good no-load and light load efficiency. The PMP9045 is a 5V, 6.5W, design. The design can be easliy changed to provide a 12V output.
