TPS54233DR low dropout operation in light load

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54227

Hi,

we are using the TPS54233DR chip to regulate a 3.6V out  from 4.8V -15V input.

The system works properly except in light load. When the input voltage decrease to about 5.4V (in in light load) the chip doesn't regulate correctly.

I tested the method 1 illustrated in AN SLVA547A but it takes at least 10mA of output current to make stable the regulator.

These are my questions:

Is it possible to reduce this output current somewhat to make regulator stable (my board has to waste at the minimum )??

Have you got a pin-to-pin chip that works fine in this particular condition?? or I'm forced to implements the methods illustrated??

Thanks.
