TLC5916 data sheet ambiguity

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5916

Hello,

The data sheet for the TLC5916 shows that the timing for transferring a configuration code is different from the timing for transferring a LED bit vector.  Compare figures 1 and 3.  In figure 1, the LE is pulsed after all data are shifted into the internal shift register, and after all shift clocks have occurred.  However, in figure 3, the LE is pulsed coincident with the last shift clock.  The ambiguity arises because the text on page 21, under "Writing Configuration Code in Special Mode", paragraph 2, says "As shown in Figure 20, the timing for writing the Configuration Code is the same as the timing in the Normal Mode [for] latching the output channel data."

Please clear up the ambiguity for me.  It is causing me considerable difficulty in my system, I think.

Best regards,

Peter Gregson
