TL4242 max current o/p

We had a query regarding TL4242 suitability to drive constant current load upto 500mA. In datasheet page5, graph of output current versus supply voltage, it appears that TL4242 can only drive maximum 375mA for input voltage ranging from 10V-35V.

 

Kindly confirm if this devive will support 500mA load.

    The TL4242 is capable of supporting a 500mA load.  The datasheet graph was taken with the TL4242 set to sink 375mA of current through three LEDs.  The output current is less than 375mA at the lower voltages because the input voltage is not high enough to overcome the required dropout voltage (typ 0.35V @ 300mA).
