BQ24650 Vmp Problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24650

Hello,

I will try to do my best to explain my problem. I bought the bq24650evm and I tested with a li-ion battery and a power supply (I have a solar panel too) I configured the evm to 4 amp and Vout= 12.6. There weren’t any problem with the evm.

I did a two layer pcb implementing a bq24650 (following the pcb rules). First the circuit regulate at 12.6V (Vout) with out any problems, the signal of driver mosfets are the same as the evm and the end of charge it is done correctly. The problem is when I set the VMP in 1.21 V (resistor divider from Vin), when I connect the battery, the VMP drop to 1.19 V and the output current is much less than 4Amp (only 600mA). I changed the value of a resistor (potentiometer) to adjust the VMP at 1.21V (with the battery connected) but the output current is not enough. The output current is the correct value when I increment the VMP at 1.27 or 1.45 V it depends. This shouldn't happen.
In the evm when I increment the VMP doesn’t increment the output current, and that is the way it function, but my designed circuit has that problem, any idea?

I'm sorry for my english,

Thanks!
