BQ24230 Ibat leakage

Hello.

I am evaluating the BQ24230 in a new design. The spec says IBat should be 6.5uA max, but I am measuring about 13uA. All pins are terminated as specified, the load is disconnected and 0V input voltage. I have tried 3 different parts and even a BQ24232 and they have IBat at 2x the spec.

2 questions:

1. Is the spec wrong?

2. Will IBat leakage be lower is CE=high?

Hello Philip,

I saw 3.3uA battery leakage with the same condition as yours using the bq24232 EVM. Can you share your schematic?

Hi Wenjia.

Thanks very much for your feedback. While compiling my schematic for posting I found I had an 8uA drain on Vout, so my actual quiescent current is about 3.8uA as well!
