Please let me about SS/EN pin connection of TPS54610.

If SS/EN pin connect 5V pull-up, is it normal operation?

Or, is it have any problem?

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • SS/ENA is internally pulled up.  It is intended to have a SS capacitor connected between SS/ENA and GND to control the output voltage slew rate at start up.  You can actively hold the SS/ENA pin low, to disable, then release it to allow the normal start up sequence.  The abs max voltage on SS/ENA is 7 V, so it will not be damaged directly, but I do not think I would recommend tying SS/ENA to a higher voltage than VIN.  In any case, it should not be necessary to pull SS/ENA high externally.
