Could you please let me know the competitive device for ICE2QA03G(infineon) ?
Our customer requirement is as below.

The UCC2700 family of parts are much more advanced part than the competitors. For example the UCC28710 has a 700V high voltage start,10mW no load power, 100kHz max frequency, primary side regulation controller.

The part you reference has a 500V start up,100mW, 52kHz, optocoupler feedback controller.

Can I use UCC28910 for 125W system?

Hi Ryuji san,

The UCC28910 is rated for about 6W-7.5W max in a flyback converter.

The upper power limit for any flyback converter is about 65W because of the capacitor and transformer size.

So you could use the UCC28710 to get 65W out.

For 125W out it is better considering another topology such as a forward converter or an LLC converter. These would offer you higher efficiency and smaller size.

Regarding UCC28710, is 65W correct ?
According to the following power management catalog P.6, we can use Flyback controller up to 150W.

Ryuji san,

Yes you can use a flyback controlller at 150W (or even higher) but the ripple currents in the transformer and output capacitor will result in the use of very large parts.
