We are using a BQ24262 in our design, and have a question about idle current draw.
The scenario is where there is a battery (Vbat) but there is no input source (Vin). We are running along nice and fine, and then the user turns the unit off with a switch. In our design this opens a FET which disconnects the load (the micro) from Vsys. Thus the battery charger is running with no input, no load, but a battery.
I understand that the charger chip is still running (it's being powered directly by the battery), but I can't find in the documentation what the current draw in the state will be. If it's in the uA range, we'll be okay, but if it's in the high mA, then the users battery might be drained completely if they leave it in this state.
