Hello,
My name is Sam, I am having an issue with charging for the BQ24610. The implementation is a large 4 pack 4S2P configuration totaling 14.4 volts 19.2 Amp hours battery pack charging at 16.8 volts at 4 amps (1 amp per pack) with a 10 hour safety timer (0.11 uF on TTC pin to GND) on a custom PCB. what happens once the circuit is turned on is every 2 minutes (almost exactly) a fault occurs and resets the charge cycle, so I get a blink on the status fault LED and then charging resumes and it keeps doing this continually. However, if I short the TTC pin to GND disabling the safety timer I get normal operation and the batteries charge correctly and continuously with no problems. I also lowered the capacitance to 0.1 uF (the same as the EVM board) but that didn't change the problem or timing between faults. The board is designed exactly like the EVM board, all PCB design rules were followed, only differences being some set values for the battery packs being used. Other than being related to the safety timer I don't know what it could be, please help as soon as possible, I am hopping the only solution isn't to short TTC to GND. Thank you for your help.
