Hi Britt,

Thanks for that. I want to use it for low current limiting application, where I need to limit it to 310mA. I need about a 1MOhm resistor at ISET. I couldn't find in data sheet what is the lower limit of ISET. Does this seem a feasible design?

TPS2420 is not a good choice for lower currents. TPS25942 may be a better choice for currents as low as 600mA.

What is your input voltage range? For 300mA, you can use a USB switch for a 5V application but for 12V, you may need something using an external current sense resistor.

The TPS25921 is designed to support lower current limits. Precision limit can be set as low as 400mA.

Hi, Sorry for my late reply. My input voltage range is min 18V to 24V. I couldn't find any device which works in that range and allow me to control low currents like 200-300mA. Can you suggest any?

I suspect that for the low current limit you will need to use a device with external FET and current sense. LM5060 and TPS2490 can be used in your application.
