Hi,

I am using the TPS40210EVM board. I need to know if I could apply 28 Volts at the input for a higher output voltage say 30 volts. I know that C8 has to be changed to a higher voltage rating say 50 volts or so. I also will change the output voltage scaling resistors and the compensation network values. Can this be done without damaging the board?

    Hi Bahadur,

    The TPS40210EVM will work fine for higher output voltages as long as the external components you described are modified to also support it.

    Hi Anthony,

    Thank you for your quick reply. I want to be sure that the input circuit is good for input voltage as high as 28 volts with capacitor C8 changed to higher voltage rating say 35 or 50 volts. I know that the output would have to be scaled, and stabilized  accordingly for the desired output voltage.
