I was wondering if you could hook up more than one LED per driver output to a LP5562? All the reference designs I found on the TI website just had one LED per driver output pin.

Hi Ben,
Basically you can hook up more LEDs.
Are you going to hook how many? In series or parallel?
Thanks,
Sami
Total LEDs I am looking at 25.
20 RGB Osram LTRBGFSF
5 White Osram LWQ38E
Ideally I would like to have all the Reds in series, Green series, Blue series, and White series, all branching off an individual driver output.
However I suspect that I would have to do parallel branches within each color option.
R G B W
Typical Forward Currents 20 20 20 15 mA
Max Forward Current 40 50 50 mA
Typical Forward Voltage 2.05 3.2 3.2 2.85 V
Thank you very much
Hi Ben,
May I ask what is the reason for selecting LP5562 for this purpose?
I just want to see if there would be another device that could suit better for this application.
Thank you,
Sami
It's for my senior design project we are designing a solar powered light that will change have color mixing capabilities as well give white light.
Hi Ben,
Sorry, I did not come up with better choice (at least from our group). You also could use several LP5562s if you need to minimize the LEDs in one output. When connecting several LEDs to one LED output, there might be differencies in LED currents.
Thanks,
Sami
