Hi,

I'm planning to use bq24278 charger IC for my battery charger application. However, no system load is going to be used. How should I configure SYS, BOOT, SW, BGATE pins ?

    Even without a system load, you will still need the minimum datasheet recommended values for the indutor on SW, the SYS cap and the BOOT capacitor.  The BGATE pin can be left unconnected.

    If you only need 2A charge current, you might consider the bq24253 standalone charger with SYS or bq24257 standalone OR I2C charger without SYS.

    Thank you for the answer and suggestions. I need exactly 2.5A charge current, so the bq24278 will be a better option, I suppose. Moreover, should I also consider to leave VDPM pin unconnected?
