Buck as Dc/Dctransformer

Hello. Is it possible that this buck arrangement will work? In theory it works but I'm not sure do I miss something. Also, how critical is comparator speed? Should it be with hysteresis?

Sorry I missed your last reply. Excuse my ignorance but how you mean "too much gain"? If it's not possible with simple opamp comparator can I use some other "special chip" from TI? Best, Frano

Hi Frano,

You are running the op-amp in an open loop configuration. The comparator internally has a large gain as well. Compensating the feedback will be very difficult. You can experimentally try this and independently evaluate the design.
