BQ24090 and Powerpath

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24090, LMR62014

Hi all, I have to design a solution for a 2600 mAh Single cell Li-Ion charger with powerpath and 5V output, 5V input. PMIC package have to be MSOP or similar (I cannot use QFN, BGA or 'non visible pins') ,and this reduces my options a lot. Maximum load current is greater than charger current, so I cannot attach directly the load to the battery.
So, I selected a BQ24090 and a powerpath "by hand" with a couple of p-channel mosfets, using the "power good" pin.
Finally I selected a LMR62014 for battery step-up.
Does anyone know or have in mind about a better solution?
Thanks a lot!!!
Regards,
