Hello,

I've been using EV2300 for weeks while evaluating bq3060 gas gauge. Everything was fine. So the EV2300 driver is installed. I now experience troubles with bq24765 EVM (HPA349) : I downloaded bq24765EVSW (slvc309.zip), installed it, and when attempting to run bq24765.exe, I get an alert message:

"Runtime Error 13. Type mismatch"

It seems to be V0.1.0 of the software. Wrong link on TI'S site? The main window displayed doesn't look at all like the one shown on bq24765_EVM.pdf (userguide), I can't communicate with the chip, and the scrolldown menus don't respond (not even "exit"). SMB data and clock lines are pulled up to V_ext (3.3V).

Can someone help me? Did I kill the chip without even using it once for charging?

Any comment or experience sharing welcome.

    Hello,

    I had exactly the same problem with my bq77pl900. Even by installing all visuals basics needed the error code repeat itself... The surprising thing was that the software works only on some computers but not mine and i don't know why...

    If someone have any solution please tell us.
