I saw a design idea that is about creating symmetrical power supply for linear amplifiers from a single supply in TI's web site. I think it was using charge pump controllers. I could not find it again. Do you know about it or can you suggest one? Thanks.

    You could try something like this:

    It works with many similar ICs such as TPS54040, etc.  If you need tighter regulation, you can always pre-regulate to a slightly higher voltage, then use an LDO for final voltage regulation.
