TI Fusion reports invalid command under certain fault conditions

Hi,

I have seen periodic fault conditions cause an PMBUS ALERT as a result of an invalid command. I have see this with the TPS544B20 regulator.

The Invalid Command bit is set in the STATUS_CML byte.

Under what conditions does this event occur?

I have seen this in the past when switching between rails using Fusion. My probe setup is set to 400Khz and open drain on all PMBUS signals. My board has 4.7K pullups to 3.3V.

I also can't seem to set the mIVC bit in MFR_23 (MASKS_SMBALERT) and make it stick when writing this to the device NV memory.
