Hi,

I'm using the BQ20Z655-R1. There are differences between the cell voltages. But the CB ( Cell Balance ) flag in the Charging Status is disabled while the charging. I am using the default Min Cell Deviation 1350. Has anyone got any thoughts?

    Hi John,

    what is the value of update status.If this is a new or recently learned pack with update status at 06 then balancing is disabled until you get one more Qmax update which will bring update stus to 0E.  The reasoning behind this is that this is meant to be a Qmax  learned from the actual cells the gauge is attached to rather than copied from the learned pack since the gauge needs to know accurately the Qmax and SOC of these actual cells in order to know which one needs balancing.

    Battery starts the cell balance function when the update status is 0E, like you say. Thank you for your help.
