LM5121 low Side MOSFET Power loss

Hello Sir,

In LM5121 datasheet page-34, it is given that Switching loss for LOW SIDE FET is 0.5*V OUT*I IN*(T RISE+T FALL)*F SW.

Since the V OUT is not applied across the MOSFET, Why the factor V OUT is needed.

During the FET turn on period, Input voltage will be applied across the inductor to charge.

We are facing difficulty in calculating MOSFET switching loss.

Please clarify?

The parameters are

V OUT 15V, I IN 33A, F SW 300KHz
