Resetting BQ3060

Is there a way to reset BQ3060 with a push button?

Here is the problem I have:

My PRES pin is tied low with pull down resistor.

My battery has a 4 pin connector. When I insert the battery, BQ3060 enters into an error state and turns the FETs off.

I can't communicate using my mcu because the FETs that provide power to my mcu are turned off.

If I use EV2400 and send a reset command, it reboots and everything starts working as it is supposed to.

The battery is not supposed to be removed all the time, but in case I need to remove it, I'd like to have an easy way to reset BQ3060 when I reconnect the battery without having to plug into a computer through EV2400.

Any thoughts?

    The device does not have an external reset option. You can short the REG27 to Vss and reset the device. We do not recommend do ing this as a normal course of action, but it can be used in an emergency. The regulator has a current limit, so it this should not damage the device.
