Hi everyone,

I just want to know whether any dc converter is in the range of Vin of 10 to 100v and Vout max of 100V/10A? I just dug in this field very much. All buck topology is limited to 75 v MAX INPUT and 10A out put. But I need 100V/10A at the put put. Apart from this buck topology , Can I implement High efficient circuit which would yield the said voltage and current?
Please help me.

You cannot get 100V output from a Vin range of 10V - 100V using a buck topology.

Hi ,

Thank you for your response. OK. Then Vin =100v, Is there any buck available in this rage?(ie. Vin=100v, Vout= 100 max/10A)

Can you suggest some circuit (efficient) which converts 100v input to 5-100v /10A out put?\

None of the products I directly support will operate in that range. I'll see what I can find (or maybe someone else will post a suggestion).

Hi John,
I myself suggest a product which is LTC3810 .This can work in the range above said range.

I think you may have difficulty with that device at high output voltages as it is constant on time with a rather large minimum off time. I suggest you take a look at LM5116. It is 100 V input with max duty cycle of 98% so you should be able to get near 98V output.

Hi John,

When I see the description of LM5116, It says vout (max) is 80v.

Well you can try that LTC part, but I don't think you will get much above 80V with it either.
