Power Supply For Medical Devices

Hello All,

I need to design the power supply for Medical equipment.

Requirement is as follows:

Input Voltage	90-264 VAC
Input Frequency	47-63 Hz
Output Voltage	12V
Output Current	2.5A

Which SMPS topology I shall use to design this power supply.

Please suggest medical grade TI device.

Hi Pankaj,
Flyback is the simplist way to give out isolation power on your power level.
However you should know that in imporant notice section of all TI specs:
"No TI components are authorized for use in FDA Class III (or similar life-critical medical equipment) unless authorized officers of the parties
have executed a special agreement specifically governing such use."
So may you clarify which medical grade you need for the IC?Br
