Hi!

My customer use BQ500212ARGZ and BQ51050BRHLT for charging battery. Resistors PMOD, FOD, FOD_CAL is like in bq500212AEVM-550. BQ51050BRHLT is set to Fast Charge Mode – 0.6А.

The problem is: charging current rise up to 0.6A and after a little time falls to 0.3, then rise to 0.6A and so on.

What can we do with it?

    Vsevolod,

    Based on the current change from full charge to half charge, it seems that the device is going to over temperature.  Please see the datasheet for JEITA mode.  If you are using a thermistor and the temperature is reported to be above 45C, the current will drop to half of the full charge current.  See Figure 22 JEITA Compatible  TS Profile.

    Can you measure the temperature the same place as the bq51050B is measuring?
