I'm developing a spice model for the LM2596 regulator.

Is the switching transistor a N channel power mosfet? or BJT NPN transistors?

Just confirming....BJT NPNFD = NPN Fully Depleted power transistor? = (not N-NMOSFET)?

Yes; it is a power NPN BJT

Thanks. I have another question.

I'm working on a spice model and still am not sure how to model the BJT switch.

Is the output transistor switch an NPN Darlington pair? or IGBT?

It is an NPN with a current source driver from Vin.
