TPS61170 Rsense Value

Hi,

I am using the TPS61170 controller in a SEPIC configuration. The value for Rsense is given as 100mohm in the application notes but this value is not listed in the electrical characteristics section. Just want to know if this is a reliable value to use for my compensation network calculations. 

I have also seen Rsense given as 200mohm in SLVA319C, which adds to my confusion of what Rsense actually is.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi Matthew,

    Just check with the designer :

    Datasheet gives the typical  value,  while  application notes give the max value for the worst case estimation.

    For your compensation network calculations, you can use 200m ohm.
