I have received the EV2400 and it does seem to communicate with bqStudio software.

I am trying to use this along with the bq76930EVM.

When trying to program the srec file for the bq78350 gas gage IC, I see a message from the bqstudio stating that EV2400 may have issues and I may need to use the EV2300? Also on using the Firmware program feature , the srec file does get programmed but I get back an error stating that the check sum of the srec files does not match.

Wondering if this is a known issue and do I need to switch to EV2300 OR is there a way to use the EV2400 with the bq78350 and bq76930EVM?

The EV2400 does not presently support the bq78350, it can cause errors such as you indicate which can result in damage to the bq78350 or bq769x0. An update to the EV2400 is planned, watch for instructions on the website on updating the EV2400 when it is available. Until that is available, please use an EV2300.

We have the same problem with www.ti.com/.../bq76940evm and EV2400 .

When looking at www.ti.com/.../EV2400 > EV2400 Firmware Updater (ZIP, 8504 KB) > the release date is 19 Jan 2015 and it still doesn't work.

Do we need to wait longer to get a fix ? If yes, will the new firmware shipping before the end or march ?

The 19 Jan 2015 firmware updater was reportedly extensively tested and believed to fix the interface issue to the bq78350. If you can provide some detail on the "doesn't work" you are experiencing the appropriate support people may be able to provide some recommendation.
