We have a few fuel gauges (BQ34Z110) installed in systems and its been discovered a calibration error has meant 2000mA discharge has been calibrated as -2000mA and not -200mA to account for the x10.
We have noticed the incorrect settings has resulted in a CC gain and Delta of around 25mOhm and the correct setting is more like 250mOhm.
It would be hard to re-program the fuel gauge in the field however our host controllers firmware can be updated with a procedure which would amend the values of CC Gain and CC Delta to what they should be.
Can you advise what registers should be written to via I2C to change these values, and if we need to change the operating mode of the chip to do this?
Thanks,
Stuart
