Multiple NCR18650B chemistry ID for BQ78350

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ78350

SLUC138CR.zip package contains a list of chemistry IDs and a change list.

In the selection table, the NCR18650B (Panasonic) has ID=0210.

In change list, it has 2 entries: ID=2012 and ID=2017

Which one is right (or best)?

Thanks,

  • 0210 is a match to a number of cells.  2012 and 2017 were created specifically for the cell noted. Generally use the newest chemistry available for your cell.  If there are notes for the chemistry, use those for guidance.  2017 shows a "-20C" notation.  If your application will normally be at a low temperature, you might select this one.  For the bq78350, the chemistry is used for estimation of SOC at reset (refer to the TRM), so any of these may be acceptable.
