Is there any TI low noise, low dropout, 0V regulator

Dear Fellow Engineers,

My task is to design a power supply with at least 1A output current and 0-12V output voltage. The whole thing is going to be LiPo powered, I have already got the charging and DC-DC boost converter side figured out. I am looking for something like an LT3080, but TI branded. If I was using the part search engine right there is no such device in the TI product line. Is there any way to go around this? How am I going to adjust the voltage to 0V with TI components?

    We currently do not have a device nor an application design that accomplishes the adjustable output voltage down to 0-V. However, this is something that we are actively exploring. 

    Is there a particular low voltage that you're trying to regulate?

    Thanks for the reply. My original design had components from various manufacturers. The original DC-DC boost converter was a MIC2253 I have swapped that with a LM2621. (Only 2.85A maximum switching current and 14V output voltage.) There is going to be a digipot in order to set the DC-DC converter's output voltage (as the Vout only goes up to 14V I might just set it to the max) on top of this a voltage reference + DAC to fine tune the regulator. So let's say the lowest voltage I would like to regulate is 14V there is going to be a 10bit DAC to set the voltage that gives me ~0.013V / step. Still I can't go down to 0V (as every TI chip has the limitation of 1.24V).

    Understood.

    The closest we can get to 0-V is with TPS7A7002. It can go down to 0.5-V.

  • Yeah, but the Vout (Max) (V) = 5V is not enough as I have mentioned in the first post my goal is to get 1A and 0-12V output ranges. Well the LT3080 will do it. All the other ICs are going to be TI, so I think it's close enough.
