Functionality and Power usage of VDDIO interface

Hi,

We are using TPS65910A3 PMIC to power AM335x processor.  In TPS65xx VAUX33 (3.3VDC output) Pin is connected to VDDIO. User Guide mentions VDDIO as "digital control signal level".

1. Apart from Signal level detection Whether input to VDDIO is used to power the internal signal IOs  or internal pull ups of PMIC.
2. Is it mandatory to connect VDDIO to VAUX33 . 

3. Also VDDIO and VAUX33, whether it should be of same voltage level.
