BQ24450 interfacing with Microcontroller

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24450

Hello,

I am designing a smart battery charger with BQ24450 interfaced with a Microcontroller. I can connect STAT1 and STAT2 pins to monitor charging mode of the IC, right? Please guide me in schematics of the Fig 7 of the Evaluation board  how will I be connecting these pins to MCU? STAT1 is already pulled up by VDR here. Please suggest is it possible with this schematics, how should I?

Thanks.

  • Hi,
    Did you solve the problem?
I have the same problem, I did not understand how to connect the two pins (STAT1 and STAT2) to Arduino.
I realized that without a battery on the two pins is a voltage greater than 5v, so I decided to insert two 5.1V zener with a 1K resistor and put it on digital arduino pins, but it does not work.
