Question for LM3478 FA/SD pin operation

Hi all,

My customer are using LM3478 as a boost converter.
They have a question for FA/SD pin operation.
Can the external 3.3V is applied to FA/SD pin before supplied to Vin?

Sato-san,
In general this is not recommended. Applying a low impedance voltage is not recommended because it can cause current to flow through the input protection diodes and that coud damage the chip. However, if the voltage is applied through a resistor (such as 50kOhm) and the current is limited, then it is most likely ok.
