Can't find LM3424 in webench

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3424, LM3423, LM3429, LM3421

Hello,

how can I find the LM3424 in WEBENCH?

I tried to create a step-up led-driver-circuit in webench. Webench suggests solutions with some other LM34xx (i.e. LM3423, LM3429,...) but none with LM3424 :(

  • Juergen:
I was able to get a LM3424 design in WEBENCH. I typed VIN = 15-30V, picked the 1st LED on the list and chose 14 LEDs in series with VOUT = 42V. Next step I chose controller. There were a list of LED boost designs generated. The last one was LM3424.

  • Hi David,

thanks a lot for your fast reply.

I exactly followed up your example and get the same result as before. Designs with LM3421, LM3423 and LM3429, but no clue of the LM3424. Not even in the options "Show Additional Devices" and "Show Why Other Parts Where Not Found".

Is there a way to force WEBENCH to use a specific IC?

BTW, my original should use the LM3424 as a boost-converter for a high-power-LED with Vin 24-32V, Vout 36V and Iout 2.1A.

    Regards
