UCC28180 in flyback LED driver

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28810, UCC28180

Hi, gurus!
With no doubts UCC28810 is the most popular driver for LED lighting, but it is 20 years old.
1. Can UCC28180 become a "sucsessfull successor" to UCC28810 thanks it works in CCM?
2. Is it a good idea to use UCC28180 in flyback LED driver or CCM will bring any issues?
Thank you.

Thanks for your comments on UCC28810 and UCC28180. I don't see much advantage on using CCM flyback converter in LED lighting applications. For CCM flyback converter, the transformer is bigger especially for universal AC input. UCC28810 operates at transition mode which minimizes the switching loss. I doubt the CCM flyback will have higher power efficiency than the transition mode flyback.
