I am looking for a charge controller for a 12.4 volt 3mAh LiFePo4 battery comprised of 8 pieces 1500mAh cylindrical 18650 cells in 4S2P flat connection. My power is coming from an 18 volt 2 watt PV panel comprised of 18 cells. I was considering the BQ24650 but there isn't much technical data available on the website regarding the specifics of charging cycle. Rather than asking a mountain of questions I was wondering if someone could advise which product would be best for my application. I will have a static draw of .07mAh +/- .02mAh on the battery and once a month there will be a .4mAh draw for less than 5 minutes. My intention is to extend the life of the battery by limiting the number of charge cycles placed on the battery (perhaps by limiting charging to battery only when less than 85% of the charge remains?) I look forward to hearing your suggestions.
