When using the UCC28070 Excel Applications Design Tool to start a new design, the spreadsheet will not allow me to change the input voltage range. I would like to change the minimum input voltage to approximately 180V, instead of the 85V that was selected as part of the SLUA479 app note design.

Is this a good tool to use to select component values for generic designs? If so, it would be helpful if the user could select his/her own input voltage parameters. When I try to unlock the cells, it requires a password.

You might want to try slogging though app note SLUA479B. It has all the equations for a custom design.

I'm aware of SLUA479B. (I referenced it in my original post.) I'm just trying to get a usable copy of the excel spreadsheet so that I don't have to recreate the wheel.

Unfortunately the unlocked Excel calculator will not give meaningful results when the input voltage range is changed. You can check previous posting for the reason behind this but unfortunately this is an oversight that was never fixed.

I can send you a Mathcad file (unlocked) that allows you to modify the input voltage and see the design equation if you wish.
