Hi,

we are planning to use TPS2065 in one of our design.

Can anyone, pls let me clarify below queries.

When Vin and Vout are different supplies @5V, TPS2065 device protects itself by Reverse current protection ?

Or I need to add a reverse voltage blocking diode ?

Kindly Advice.

TPS2065 will conduct in both directions when the switch is enabled. TPS2065 will block current flow in both directions when the switch is disabled.

Could you please justify how TPS2065C device can conduct in both ways ?

You can regard the power switch as a NMOSFET, if enable and VIN exceed UVLO, NMOSFET gate is biased around 12V, so it both direction can conduct, but please note, only IN to OUT has current limit funtion, from OUT to IN, no this function.

Sorry i mentioned the part as TPS2065 in earlier mail, but actual part is TPS2065C .

Is TPS2065C have the same above functions?

Yes, same function. But not recommend OUT-IN application since no current limit feature.

Only TPS2065C disabled, this feature active becasue disabled, there is on back-to-back diode can block the reverese current.
