Hello,

I'm using the following IC tps62736 on my lipo powered product. I'm already using this inductor LBMF1608T100K on other part of my design and I'm wondering If I can use the same part for the tps62736. My application doesn't use more than 30mA and most of the time only use 30uA. Do you think it is ok to use it?

Please refer to inductor selection section in datasheet page 22. The saturation current of the inductor should be at lease 25% higher than the ILIM spec in order to account for load transients.

thank you to note that, raeding the datasheet I tought it should be 25% higher than load current :s

I-CHG(CBC_LIM) is 230 mA (TYP) shown in electrical characteristics table. 25% higher will make the saturation curent of the inductor be at least 287.5 mA. looks like current rating is of the above inductor is 150 mA.

Are you sure you checked the correct datasheet? the TPS62736 datasheet says ILIM = 86mA

Yes, you are correct. in this case, your last selection of Inductor should be fine.
