TLV62084 thermal shutdown

Hi team,

My customer is seeing the output of TLV62084 drops to zero and is raised back after several seconds when soaking unit into 85C chamber.

In this situation, the temperature of TLV62084 will be around 135C~140C.

As it is noted that the temperature of thermal shutdown is 150C in datasheet.

Could you please help confirm the tolerance of this temperature?

    We don't specify a tolerance for the thermal shutdown but if the IC is getting this hot, it is too hot. You should keep its junction below 125 C and just have thermal shutdown as a last resort protection.

    You could test the EVM under the same setup and see what results it gives. But you might want to use the more efficient TPS62085 instead.
