Can anyone help identify an IC please

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC2638, TL494, TL594

I have a China made ATX power supply which has a 16 pin DIP IC to act as output voltage control with a number T10407 which I suspect is a hidden code number to a more popular type, I have seen it on offer around but no data sheet.

Is it a more known Texas IC or related to one of the power management family.

Thank you from David.

  • I have now identified the previous number refers to an IC = SDC2921 which I have a Chinese version data sheet on but still think it may have originated under another numberand TI has the most variety thought it might have better insight on it.
  • Hope this may help identify my IC CS2638

  • Hi, David,
Based on the information on SDC2921, we don't believe we developed PWM controller for the application with output UVP and all the other functions. If those functions are important to you, we have to use eternal component to implement them. TI doesn't have a part number as CS2638 , but we do have UC2638 if that is what you are looking for.
  • Thank you I had been trying combinations of other letters with that number but had no luck, I know that an IC can be reborn if some changes are made to its designs like a small change to a few values without dramatic compatability problems.

As no reaction to that exact number has come even from UT source which I find a good reference, plus other suppliers, a leap of faith seems to be required after taking just its basic pin details in to consideration I find that a possible match is a KA7500 a variant of what looks like a TL494 or TL594 series.

It was just a hope to get a certified link up with numbers to prove this but without knowledge of who made it I think this is my best answer.
