HI Guy,

Why TPS65150-Q1 start up during lead to Vin droop?

Test condition as below

Vin:3.3V

VS:13V/0A

How to avoid it?

    Hello Jericho,

    An input droop often happens because the input impedance does not support the inrush current when a power IC is starting.

    During startup a DC/DC converter draws more current than in normal operation because it has to charge the output capacitors and sometimes even support load curren already.

    So if the input voltage drops during the startup you need to check if you can reduce the input impedance to reduce the observed drop.
