Hi,

I have some question about performance characteristics in LM338 datasheet.

Q1. When 100 ms, is  the output current normal state or still current limiting? In case of Vin-Vout = 20V, when 100ms the output current is 3A. That mean the power dissipation can manage 20V * 3A = 60W?

Q2. What is the preload? Is that a output load?
