TPS92661-Q1 / register setting of unused input LED

Hello Asaka-san. By default, the registers power up in a state that leaves the LED OFF (switches are closed). If the LED is never allowed to turn on then the fault detection circuitry is disabled. In this way, you can avoid false faults on these shorted/unused pins. I would recommend just not accessing these registers and leaving them in their default state. Assuming you have a good physical short on the PCB, there is very little power dissipated in the IC from these unused pins as the short resistance should be much lower than the switch rds-on.
