UCC28070 PFC 2KW

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28070

Hello,

I'm using the UCC28070 PFC controller  2KW  400V.

When the output power exceed 1KW the PFC converter stops. I don't understand what it stops because I m not on current peak limit condition and  It doesn't exeed the over voltage protection condition.

I trayed to change the IMO resistors, current loop and voltage components... and it doesn't work yet.

I would like to know if you have some ideas about this topic.

Thank you for your help.

  • Please attach a schematic with some waveforms.
It would also be helpful to know what the test condition were .
  • Hello,

I have the same problem. I use the UCC28070 for a 4kW interleaving PFC. To start the project I used only one channel to generate the half power(2kW) to valid the power part and evaluate the component.

I can not exceed 1KW at the output... above this power the converter shutdown. I checked all the protections and all the measurement signals (IMO, VNAC, VSENSE..), all signals are ok.

Have you any idea of the problem ?

    Thank you for your help.

  • Hello,

    I have the same problem.

When the output power  exceeds 1KW, The output voltage dropes Sharply.

All protections seems to be OK.

I tried to change RIMO, VAO filter and CAOA compensation filter.. But there is no change.

Below signals when the output power exceeds :( see attached file)

    - Green : Current inductance

    - blue :Output voltage

    - Sky bleu : VAO voltage

    - Purple : Input current

I don't understand why it stops.

Do you have any ideas ?

    Thank you.
