bq76940 Balance issues

hi,

i am working on 940's internal balance works. but i am not sure if my workflow was wrong or not since i already damaged 2 x 940 these days, both of the damaged 940 were short-circuit on VC0 and VC1.

below command i would like to balance all cell in group 1 is that ok ?
set 0x01 = 0x1F

how about if i balance cell 5 and 6 which is in different group is that ok ?
set 0x01 = 0x10
set 0x02 = 0x01

    Sending a balance register value 0x1F to a group may damage the device since all pins in the group will attempt to pull to the same voltage which is likely much higher than the abs max limit for the lower group input pins.
    Balancing cell 5 and cell 6 at the same time is safe since they are in different groups.
