Using LM5017 (DCAP) in constant current application

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5017

I am trying to setup a LM5017 regulator in a constant output current application. The output voltage will vary anywhere between 25~45V while the input voltage is constant at 48V. Is there a way to implement adaptive constant on-time control to maintain a relatively constant switching frequency?

I am guessing the RON pin is a low side current source input setting a charging current for a timing capacitor, if that's the case I may be able to use a current mirror to reflect the change in output voltage back to the on-time generation circuit. Am I guessing correct?

Thank you
