Hi,

My customer has question about TPS65132W.
Could you tell me about questoin?

[Question]
My customer want 80mA capability. What would you suggest we do?

- Customer request -
Vpos=5.4V
Ips=80mA
Vneg=-5.4V
Ineg=80mA

In datasheet, TPS65132W default Iout_max(Ineg) is 80mA. This device can change Iout_max capability at APPS bit.

APPS bit is 0: Smartphone mode(Ineg_max=40mA)
APPS bit is 1: Tablet mode(Ineg_max=80mA)

What is TPS65132W default APPS bit?

Hi tateo,

Figure 20 is the APPS-DISP-DISN Register 0x03. The default register Value for this is 0x03, which means that DISN=1, DISP=1 and APPS=0.

So if you want to set this to tablet mode you have to set this register to 0x43.

Thank you for your reply. We saw Device Comparison table in datasheet. TPS65132W default Iout_max is 80mA. What is mean? My customer is thinking TPS65132W default APPS-DISP-DISN Register is 0x43.

Yes you are correct default Register Value in APPS-DISP-DISN Register is 0x43, there is a mistake in the datasheet on this point.
