BQ500412 Input waveform to coils

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ500412

Hi,

I am doing a project on wireless charging using the BQ500412, where I am trying to implement the coil on the PCB as trace inductance.

Under the A6 guideline, the inductance on the PCB needs to be 12.5uH for 1 coil. I need to carry out simulations to ensure that the right power is being outputted. Could I please get the input waveform to the coils in BQ500412 from the Power Mosfet ?

Also, is there another way for me to drive the coil instead of using the recommended Power Mosfet in order to make the circuitry simpler?

Kind regards,

  • Hello,

From what I understand from the WPC guide, a 12V signal goes through a half bridge inverter which then drives the series circuit of the capacitor and inductor.

Is there a simpler controller circuit/chip that can be derived for the half bridge inverter circuit ?
Also, in the Bq500412 evm, which point provides the constant 12V signal which is then converted to an AC signal?
And lastly, what is the value/waveform of the AC signal going into the series combination of the capacitor and inductor ?

It would be great if I could get a reply to this.
